great story

loved it and I couldn't stop listening. the story had a great plot and the character understanding for the new world was great

con: the repetition of alerts and functions was a little much but that's a personal con and did not take away from the story itself

Good Ending

Once I figured out that this was the girl from the 1st book I read in the series I said oh and the 3rd book I'm glad she got her stuff together on to the others!!!!!

Great series

I'm my opinion this is a well thought out story arch and plot. With well developed characters through out the story...

No more side-quests please

This was good. And also a nice further development of Abbie's character, as well as of the world. But I'm done with the side quests for a while. I won't pre-order the next one, as I have with all of the previous books. Unless it advances the main story that all of these side-quests refer to. Then I'm fully on board.

Great story to further expand this awesome universe

It is really fun to have some of these details filled in and moreover it is fun to give the spotlight to one of the most interesting characters in this universe once again. The story was very entertaining. The narration was excellently performed.

One Loooong Quest

I have to admit that I didn't quite enjoy this one as much as the others, but I still enjoyed it. There's not enough Otto for me in the other VGO books, and of course I love the relationship between him and Abby, so this book scratches that itch. I also love witnessing Abby get more powerful (and there's some kick ass powers in this one) and this is a nice capper to her Firebrand quest... but it is just one quest. One very long quest. VGO for life!!

I have really enjoyed this series but book 3 has a lot more cursing that wasn’t needed.
The overall story was good.

A breath of fresh air from the LitRPG genre

Excellent character development, realistic dialogue. The protagonist Abby wins AND loses, so the story doesn’t feel repetitive. I appreciate that not every single battle is described in full detail, so the plot can continue.
One of my favorite aspects of this series is that it does a great job of tying up some some plot points, while leaving enough open-ended for the series to continue. You don’t feel frustrated about “how the story ends,” rather curious about how it might continue.
This series feels like an excellent balance between cool loot, powers, abilities, battles, AND plot development. Highly recommend

I struggled

The main story is great. I think that the first two books of this side story were good? But I struggled with this book. Just couldn’t fully get into it. But I finished. One thing narration sounded fine, but the cadence to me was just marching along, conversations didn’t take time to breathe it was so stay on a tempo. March forward. Best way to describe. Possibly the story is that way?

I great addition to the storyline

I think all the VGO books are good in their own way. they show diversity of cast through the storyline. some are not as strong but others really stick out. this book was enjoyable. A little too much of the same information, but at least it shows her own adventures. can't wait for the next VGO book
