I usually love these dynamite narrators; however, the storyline of this book didn’t hold my attention. Not fond of cliffhangers and debating whether to continue to listen to remaining books in series.

Argh she finally figures out all 3 attendees from the secret meeting in the church. She is caught spying on her uncle, and it ends on a huge cliffhanger!!!!

Still on the short side for me, but the smut & narration totally made this audiobook for me.

What is going on?

Good second book to the series. I really enjoy the flashbacks to when the guys were younger and how their bond has grown and have made them into the men they are. The admiration they felt for their foster dad is really heartwarming and it just makes it all the sadder that he was taken too soon from them. This was a good middle section book where you get a bit more tidbits and the mystery still grows but at the same time you just want to know what is going on. There is a cliffhanger, almost 2 really and it’ll be great to see what happens next. The narration is still solid with this cast.

This book left me hanging and wanting more. secrets and lies shadow Everlys's life. Things are revealed and then wham... cliffhanger. off to dive into book 3!

I listened to this whole audiobook in one day! I couldnt stop listening and I didnt want it to end. I am so glad this series was finished on audio before I started because I would have been dying with the cliffhanger again, in line with the cliffy at the end of book 1 haha.

We get so many answers in this book, we finally get to understand why the guys are so upset with Everly and her uncle, why they plotted this revenge on her, and get to know more about their heartbreaking pasts. I wanted to hug the guys so much with this one, the flashbacks were so insightful. I know something they can be too much, but I thought they were done well. I did get confused a couple times with it being an audiobook because there weren’t really transitions so all of a sudden they would be in a flashback haha. Only critique for this one; it wouldn’t have been an issue reading with the way the authors broke it out with the formatting.

For the plot, the story amps up, we get more dirt on Everly’s uncle who is a horrible human being, at least one of the guys he is working with, and more info on what has been going on for years with the missing people and the black market dealings. I won’t spoil it but I totally didnt see that evilness coming! Everly tries to get answers herself but ends up putting herself in the line of fire. The steam and growing romance and hot sexy times were amazing! These authors so such a good job writing together, their transitions are seamless. Some of the steamy scenes in this book were my series favorite, so good 🥵🤤🔥. I again can’t pick a favorite. Saint’s antics are hilarious, Cal’s protective nature and his Dom/in-control tendencies were so yummy! I just wanted to hug Mateo so hard ❤️

Narration was amazing like book 1, the full cast really elevated this audio and helped keep the readers engaged and loving the story. I went right one to listen to book 3 because I was hooked and was eating up the story way too quickly haha. This one was harder for the narrators because of the flashbacks but they did an incredible job emoting and sticking to the characters’ personalities and quirks. The guys have a similar dark side, but they each are so different and the guys really capture that.

Story was a 4.5, audio was 5, so overall I had to give it 5/5 stars 😍

Well, this wasted zero time jumping back into the story after the way book one left things hanging. I had a feeling that part of this situation would be dealing with the memory of what happened that night so I wasn't at all shocked to see that turn. I love how even though the three guys are still unsure about Everly and her innocence they all feel awful about the incident. They show that they truly had started to care about this girl even when they thought they shouldn't. They even seemed a little bit remorseful of how they treated her, especially right before the incident.

I love that we get to see these guys falling and falling hard throughout this book. They begin to open up and share things with Everly as well as face things in their pasts that they have been sort of sweeping to the side before now. It's like they are all beginning to heal each other from the pain they've suffered. Each one of these characters deserves that, and how she connects with each of them in a different way to help them through it warms my heart. In turn, they have begun to worship her, and having that bond, that feeling of family is what she has been needing since losing her parents.

But the humor! OMG the back-and-forth joking between these guys is what I loved the most. You really get that sense of being brothers with the way they are constantly getting a dig in at each other. Saint is by far my favorite and always seems to know how to lift the mood and make everyone smile again even if it's just for a moment. He is the one that brings everyone together no matter how much he's hurting on the inside. The spice kicked up a notch for me in this one as well. Of course, that makes sense seeing as they know each other a little better now and their relationships are continuing to build. It was very, very nice spice.

The narration was better in this one to me than it was in the first one, especially with Mateo. He wasn't as quiet in my opinion as he was before and I didn't have a bunch of moments where it sounded like the room he was recording in had changed in the background. It was a lot more consistent and I felt they all got into the characters a little bit more.

If you've made it this far then go ahead and grab book 3 asap because as you'll see when you get to the ending you're not going to want to wait to jump into it as soon as you close this one. That ending is maddening! I was holding my breath until I managed to hit play on the next one with all of my nervous fumbling around lol. So yea, prepare yourself now not later.

It’s ok, average. Not worth a credit though. Books are short! Too short for a credit. Combining all 3 books would equal 1 normal length book. Hate when authors do this.
