Big fan of the series.

Another good book in an entertaining series. Historic fantasy fiction at its finest. Really enjoy how he intertwines known historic figures into the story.

John Lee does a great job with the entire series. I hope that the final books in the series will be made into audio books as well.

Very good story

I absolutely love Vampire Heretic and the way it’s written! The storytelling is engaging, the world is immersive, and the series has a great balance of action, intrigue, and character development. Every book pulls me deeper into the universe, making it an absolute joy to read.

That said, my biggest frustration lies with the protagonist. He’s supposed to be a highly intelligent and immensely powerful being, yet his actions often don’t reflect that. Whether this is an intentional way to nerf him or just a flaw in the writing, it can be quite jarring at times. For a character of his supposed caliber, I wish he demonstrated more of the intelligence he’s meant to have.

Despite this, Vampire Heretic remains a fantastic series that I thoroughly enjoy. The strengths of the storytelling far outweigh this flaw, and I’m eager to see where the journey leads next!

Well done

As for a new installment into this series! I say, “well done.” Although after hundreds of years, any being Acquires “learned intelligence.” So to the Author, overplaying his dense skull and lack of foresight, temper is a redundant tool for you to move the plot along. His narrative of his life shows he has a very powerful self evaluation of his actions. Please adapt, or my reviews from this point forward will reflect your lack of character development. Great story overall, and I find the clever touches to ride along with historical events. Main concern; Characters are “meh” as far as development. Same ole same ole and becoming stupidity predictable.

I loved the how the author'ss knowledge of history seeps through his writing. You can tell he really knows his stuff by the way he pays attention to the details.

Agony

Endless agony against the main characters naiveness and the failure of social justice. That pretty much covers the whole book. A big waste of my time.
