The story
Saint Sabbat has brought a miracle to the war-torn city of Ghereppan, but one battle is not the war. The voice of Magister Sek still haunts the Imperial forces, defying their victory, mocking their faith.
Between the trickery of the Archenemy and the mercurial visions of the Saint, the Space Marines of Damocles Squad must find the truth: is this their one chance for a final victory on Urdesh, or is it a trap that could destroy them all?

It's a long fight
I am glad I got to the end and I am proud of the characters and their achievements in this book. I always wondered how one of the Gaunt's Ghosts books got to where they were and now I know how it all played out. Reading or rather listening to this book was very rewarding.

decent story but voice actor ruins it
The voice actor was monotone and terribly boring to listen to, it was very difficult because of the monotonous drone of the authors voice to even enjoy or follow the story.
