Christie is a wonderful storyteller & has had fabulous journey through life!

I love her charming yet down to earth character & Christie Brinkley is an incredibly talented storyteller that I find profoundly captivating, interesting, engaging & lots of fun !

I grew up in the 1980s seeing Christie Brinkley always as a very successful, yet always gracious and approachable model, but learning who she really is as a person is incredibly uplifting and inspiring…I am truly savoring her each chapter of her exciting audiobook and I don’t want it to end ~ What a class act and fine person ! Bravo Christie !!

Absorbingly Wonderful

What a wild ride! Christie is vulnerable, clever and funny!

This book resonated deeply with me, her vulnerability, honesty and humor is so genuine, I listened to the audiobook and often felt like I was walking with a kindred spirit who was sharing the most incredible stories!! Christie and I crossed paths a couple of times, I worked at the ranch she kept her horses at in Montauk, it was the summer before I set out on a solo backpacking adventure around the world. A conversation we had that I will never forget, she said “ you will be amazed at the world that is about to open up for you, you will be able to connect to anyone anywhere because the world will be so much smaller.” It was truly enlightening. Inspiration at every turn!

It has been weeks since I finished this but the magic of her life stays with me. I often have been repeating her dad’s words in our family, “Write your own script!” This is so powerful! I also love the many ways she reinvented her life and continues to do so. So brave, bold, and beautiful - she is an inspiration. The way she narrates is so theatrical and mesmerizing too! When I laugh out loud, gasp, and tear up - this makes my “A-list” of audible books. Thank you, Christie!❤️

Great story. Amazing women. Could be shorter

Christie Brinkley story is one of a resilient woman. I enjoyed hearing the ups and downs of her life and how she handled them. What an inspiration.
I found the book to drag on in parts, it could have been told in a shorter Version. Some of her.” OMG I’m so surprised. I’m on the cover for a third time.” seemed unauthentic.
Overall, it’s a beautiful story of a woman’s brilliance, beauty and determination.

So Much More Than Uptown

I love autobiographies, and I listen (and read) them from all kinds of people, but am mostly drawn to those in the entertainment business. I wanted this book anyway, but I bought it after watching the 5-hour Billy Joel documentary. The doc was good, but also a bit whiny and self-serving. Christie (and their daughter, Alexa Ray) is in the doc and her thoughts and observations were the most fun, so that sealed the deal for me to get her memoir. I loved it! There is so much I didn't know about her. She's a force of nature, to be sure. And what a natural beauty -- even now, in her 70s, she's so fresh-faced and lovely (if she's had work done, it is very subtle).

The only downsides (for me, just my opinion) is that Christie talked a lot about Billy's alcoholism and blamed it (and the accompanying infidelity) on their divorce, but then she never follows up to say whether or not he got sober. (He did, but it would have been interesting to hear Christie's take on it.) Also, the PDF that you download from Audible doesn't have any captions on the photos (except for photographer's credits) so, I was kind of in the dark on the less obvious images.

Very interesting and clear

Love her voice. She’s very clear and she keeps your interest in her sequence of events if her life.
