Every stone sings as it finds its purpose. This is the lesson restless Salome learns from her father as she grows up by the Sea of Galilee. Known as the wild girl with the quick tongue, Salome is determined to silence the critics who claim she has no future. An unexpected romance and the gift of two sons, James and John, leave her hopeful and resolved to prove herself as a mother.

Salome's dreams are challenged, however, when her sons answer the call to follow Jesus of Nazareth. As James and John are drawn deeper into Jesus' ministry, opposition to his message intensifies, leaving Salome with a choice. Can her family continue down the path of discipleship when it might cost them everything? With threats abounding, Salome must confront her fears, even as she discovers her own worth in this most unexpected rabbi.

A journey of faith unfolds in this New Testament-inspired story of Salome, mother of Jesus' apostles James and John. This compelling biblical fiction book explores themes of family, sacrifice, courage, and redemption, making it a stirring listen for fans of The Chosen, Francine Rivers, Tessa Afshar, and Angela Hunt.

The realistic human struggle of daily choice to believe in face of the unknown & counting the cost of belief. The most beautiful vivid depiction of the continual struggle of the mother of two apostles whom chose to stand at the foot of the cross, and whom Jesus chose to appeared to after his resurrection🙌🏼

This is the third in the Women of the Way series by Heather Kaufman. Heather is a Biblical fiction author I trust. She researches well and the Scriptures come to life in her books. I always learn something new or something I’ve forgotten from the Bible when I listen to Biblical fiction. This is the story of Salome who was the Mother of James and John, apostles of Jesus.

We learn the story of Salome from girlhood to the resurrection of Jesus. Part of the story tells the week for Jesus before and including His Resurrection. This book is for believers and non believers alike. I always find it fascinating to hear what it was like to live in Biblical times. The feelings of the characters are quite vivid in this story. Highly recommend. Outstanding narration.

Heather Kaufman is an auto pre order author for me.

Though I’m an avid reader/listener, this book has instantly become one of my favorites! Salome’s story is both unique and very relatable at the same time. Heather Kaufman has a gift for storytelling using some of the most heart-piercing and beautiful descriptive phrases that includes the reader as if they are in the story themselves. I wish Rachel Botchan could narrate everything I ever listen to for the rest of my life! She was perfect in this book!
