An intelligent and knowledgeable glimpse of a culture I’m unfamiliar with set against an interesting

Good Listen, Intriguing Spy Story

Interesting information on the politics of Sri Linka and the U.S. involvement. Excellent narration. Didn't care for background noise...distracting.

Disappointed

I was not familiar with this author but was interested in the subject so took a chance based on the reviews. I gave up after 2 hours mostly because the background noise was too distracting and annoying. I rarely write reviews but don’t recommend this book.

Fantastic

Both the writing and the narrating are superb. The unusual setting, characters, plot, and conflict keep you spellbound, and offer you a time and a place of history that few know about. Absolutely fascinating experience.

Gripping and timely

Incredible and urgent storytelling, I binged the last 10 chapters in one sitting. Didn't see that ending coming, wow!
