Nice story and very common. Glad that at the end things can work out for the two main characters. I would recommend this book.

Iggy Toma for Murph??

Casting for Murph was not it. Story was good, enjoyed the plot and Murph and Jason’s arch…but Iggy Toma? Really???

I got this one in a book box and it is the first thing I have read by Leslie McAdam. It was pretty good. Jason and Murph were an odd couple for sure, yet it really worked.

So cute and funny!

I loved this story. It was pure goodness and made me feel all the feels. Murph is one of the most endearing characters and my heart swooned with every interaction Jason and Murph had. So good!

Enjoyable

This was a fun, easy listen. The story kept me entertained from start to finish. I enjoyed the dual narration.

Lovely and nothing overly dramatic

I was not expecting to love this so much but it was a very lightheaded read and adoring characters. It was ny first vino and veritas and I came here because of Sarina’s bowen books and it did not disappoint. 🤍 performance great as well

I absolutely loved listening to this story. This story was so entertaining; it had a lot of heart, it was funny and also sexy. I loved the connection between Jason and Murph, and Jason coming to understand his sexuality as well as Murph working through his insecurities. I honestly want Murph to be my BFF. I will say I wish there had been sterner consequences for the actions of Marley but otherwise I thought everything turned out the way it should have. Great narration as well!

Unexpectedly enjoyable.

First, let me admit that I didn't have high expectations for this story. I chose it to help pass the time during my drive when I didn't want to be too focused on the content.This story surprised me with its likability. I enjoyed the journey of Jason and Murph, witnessing how they discovered what they needed in each other. The book managed to make me laugh more than once, and I especially appreciated Murph's authenticity and Jason's refusal to dim his shine. This is definitely a book worth experiencing, and it's earned a spot on my "repeat" list once I've caught up with my rather extensive to-be-listened (TBL) backlog.

Meh

Didn’t do it for me. Murph was great, and I didn’t mind Iggy Toma’s narration of him (re: other reviews). I’ve generally enjoyed most of the books in this series I’ve listened to. But, Jason’ character was off to me — something about how he was portrayed as simultaneously super sweet and considerate but also had a weirdly nasty jealous side left a sour taste in my mouth. I get what the author was going for but it felt forced. For example, Jason’s voice sounding “almost threatening” during the convo when he confessed his attraction to Murph was probably intended to be exciting and sexy in some way (?) but didn’t mesh well with his internal dialogue of feeling excited and warm toward Murph. It soured the “big reveal” moment and cast a weird light on the rest of their romance for me. Overall a bit boring but may try to finish and see the story through:
