Cam Porter is a charter pilot living a quiet life in the small island town of Sitka, Alaska. She's spent most of her adult life avoiding any kind of affection and has put off romantic relationships. Her small but mighty family circle includes her exuberant dog Goose who gets her through the days between doing what she loves most, flying.

Skyler Callaghan had to leave Sitka while she was still attending high school. Despite the time and distance, a childhood crush on her best friend's older sister never went away—a little fact she almost forgot about until an unplanned trip back home reminds her.

When the two women find themselves stranded in the Alaskan wilderness, it isn't exactly the setting Skyler always dreamt of when she pictured nights with Cam. She tries to put her feelings aside for the sake of her sanity and survival but she feels herself being drawn even closer to Cam. As things start to shift between them, Cam has to decide if she can learn to trust and let go.

emotional

This story was emotional, and so good. The story is so well put together from descriptions, multiple points of view and general knowledge. The narrator did a fantastic job.

The slow burn

Appreciated the storyline
Dramatic when the plane crashed
The story was so compelling when they were on the island
The sparkle of romance toward the end of their stay was the new item that jept the story moving for me

Violet Morley wrote a wonderful, engaging story. Skyler and Cam were always meant to be together; even if Cam didn’t always know it like Skyler did! Add a wonderful cast of supporting characters, including “Goose,” the amazing wonder dog, and the gorgeous scenery of Sitka, Alaska, and you’ve got a winner!

Parker Everly did an amazing job bringing the characters to life!

Enjoyable

I really enjoyed listening to this very well written book. Violet Morley is a gifted author. Well worth your time.

Sweet and Beautiful

Any Alaska book is for me

I am hooked on Alaska and books that take place in Alaska and so far I was not disappointed. This book was great well written with MC that are loveable.
It was the first time I listen to a book narrated by Parker Everly, and she is good.

Started out good

I liked about 75% of this book. I liked Cam in the beginning, but struggled with her as the book went on. The adventure part was great. The relationship part had me bored.
The narration was fine. The other characters were fun and interesting.
I’m not sure I’d recommend it, but I wouldn’t NOT recommend it. Helpful, I know.
