A childless couple discovers an unusual baby in the Siberian Forest and flees to the US to protect her from the Russian government. The girl, Olesya, grows up to become a brilliant scientist, unraveling the secrets of the enigmatic dark matter. However, soon after, she and the project leader vanish, and the physics lab is destroyed by a powerful foe with seemingly noble intentions.

From her captors, Olesya learns the reason her parents left their country and discovers that she possesses powers connected to dark matter. She also learns of her brother, held captive by the Russian government. Initially skeptical of her captors’ intentions, Olesya joins them to rescue her brother. However, catastrophic world events force her to continue working with her adversaries to prevent further destruction.

Olesya discovers mysterious chambers scattered around the world and experiences visions until she finally opens them and uncovers their secrets. She realizes that she must venture into a dark dimension to save the world from self-destruction. Tragically, her daughter, Emery, emerges as the key to humanity’s salvation and must follow in her mother's footsteps once she reaches adulthood.
