Good story so real the plot was excellent every body played their parts I can believe this

Narrator made a poor story listenable

Disappointing Stephen Frey novel. It was so disconnected. Characters weren’t properly developed. Too many unanswered questions and story lines left hanging.

The plot seemed like the author was making it up on the fly and then had to hurry to make a deadline so just ended it quickly.

A bit far fetched

But still a fun read with likable characters....im more inclined to believe robots that turn into cars then what happens in this book... Lol... I don't know.... I guess if something like this could happen in real life then we're all screwed... Lol... There's not gonna be a falcon or Troy to save us

Stephen Frey fails to impress in this novel

The book seemed to have potential but it just kept getting worse and worse... Dismissal at best.

The story grabs you from page1. I liked the action, and the variety and depth of the characters.

Horrible narrator

This guy is not good and really made it tough to get through. I finally skipped from chapter 23 to the end just to see how it wrapped up. Try reading the book instead

Classic vortex works despite cliches of gender, racism, wall st

Plausible trump era plot pushed to fascist consequences. If women character development was stronger and there was more nuance and complexity around the dog whistles of racism, misogyny, Wall Street, military I’d give it more stars.

Really great book

I'm a huge fan of Stephen Frey since the Chairman came up, and this book didn't disappoint.

Ludicrous Book, Total Waste of Money

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I loved Stephen Frey's earlier books. But as time goes on they keep getting worse and worse. This author has some hang-up about Southern myths and descendants of Robert E. Lee being involved in all sorts of evil intrigue.The head of the world's largest hedge fund from Richmond, VA? I think Frey has lived near Washington DC for too long and is to busy nosing up to his New York buddies.

BTW, any President that would go through with the big 3 as outlined in this book would tank the US economy to depression era numbers. Ludicrous to think a politician from Texas would ever consider such a program.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

just so bad

this was really bad I normally like Frey"s books but this one is really bad there are no redeeming characters the story plays on so many stereotypes of the worst order and it is also just mean.

one thing that I don't understand is why he would write a story about the son of the main character in his first book only to have him be dead seems like an odd choice.
