Something for every UX designer

This audiobook has great sound quality. I think listeners will enjoy the author’s ability to tell stories based on their experience while teaching the more advanced subject matters of UX design. Junior UXers will love the section on rapid prototyping.

Excellent book for all levels

Jaime Levy’s UX strategy is a wonderful book for any one in the field of product design. She interweaves her personal experiences which helps us understand what UX strategy really is. The narration is good, but would have liked more voice modulation.

Knowledgeable

I liked the in detail discussion on testing in this book. The information was a piece that I needed and did not know prior. So thank you.

A Must Read for Product Teams

This is a great resource - should be required reading - for product teams wanting to deliver innovative products at speed. This book breaks down the critical steps for success and provides clear examples of the risks and rewards of following or ignoring due diligence and proper processes. ie: understand how your business strategy is being/should be consumed by the people you want to reach to avoid wasting time, effort, and money AND asking/answering the difficult question up front "Is this the right thing to do?" This book covers the 4 tenants of UX strategy that are critical keys to success.

This second edition is a great example of how the industry continues to evolve by referencing the impact the pandemic has had on user research and collaboration. Jaime does a fantastic job of narrating how teams can pivot to get the job done remotely without compromising standards or skipping a beat.

Successful product teams understand the value of UX strategy and how it supports business strategy. If you're new to the world of UX or an oldtimer, this book is a great read/listen to get your approach on the right track.

Worth listening to (well organized and informative)

Well organized and easy to follow. Interestingly, while this book recommends user testing before product development, my engineering husband insists technology innovation does not have to come after user testing. Would appreciate it more if the author could discuss the difference between product development and technology innovation.

Excellent book 👏

Loved how Jaime outlined the UX strategy process in great detail and uses stories to give them context and make them tangible. Many hands-on methods and processes and not high level talk around UX strategy. Also great adjustments to the world of „new work“ - how UX strategy has changed / methods have changed trough COVID. Strong recommendation to any type of designer and design leader.

Accessible and Thorough Guide to UX Strategy

Jaime Levy is a certifiable UX legend, and this book is a comprehensive yet accessible dive into approaching a business problem like a UX strategist. While I'm a novice to the field (and a 20 year old), Jaime's narration of her and her students' case studies was completely comprehensible and often flat out fun to listen to. This book doesn't cut corners; Jaime will exhaustively describe how to approach a problem with a level of detail I appreciated. I'll surely be returning to this to study more closely the step by step solutions offered to given scenarios, but the big picture ideas have already changed my own entrepreneurial thinking.

A must read for any UX practitioner

Jaime Levy is a well-respected leader in the UX Strategy space and this book is a must-read! Jaime does a great job of breaking down how UX Strategy really is a key partner to an overall successful business strategy. She gives ample real-world examples on how to implement grass-roots tools to influence decision-makers with user-based research and validation. Interesting that she includes online research during COVID lockdowns to show that in-person interviews aren't the only way to do research. A great read and an overall great audiobook. I can't recommend it enough!

Essential UX Book

I have this book as an ebook for my kindle and recently received this audible version. The audible version is a PERFECT companion to the book. I love being able to listen to the book to go over chapters that are important for a current project. Jaime is a wonderful narrator and easy to listen to her reading the book. The updated information for the newest version presented even more great information to use throughout my day to day work. This book is essential to a UX practitioner...it's even better to have an audible version as well. I highly recommend this book and Jaime Levy.
