Was ok but too predictable. The narration was the best. Was worth the fee paid

Twelve days of Christmas

Predictable, uninspired, and cliché. This book reads like a 12 year old who just learned how to use cuss words, and wanted to write whatever demented thing they could think of and call it horror.

There is no message or nuance to be dissected from any of these stories. The characters are one-dimensional, boring, and many of them too apathetic about the Christmas season, which for a collection of Christmas stories just comes across as lazy writing.

The book had several of it stories sorted into chapters which for a short story anthology was completely unnecessary, and did not add anything to the stories or experience by breaking them up in this fashion. You don't buy horror books if you don't enjoy the genre, and this was not enjoyable at all.

If you like schlocky content without any substance, and want to have Christmas symbols twisted into a grotesque amalgamation of yuletide crap disguised as horror, then these volumes are for you.

That said, I did like the way the author read the book. He has a good voice for narration.

If you like mindless drivel, this is the book for you.
