Resumen del Editor

John Milton hasn't seen Elijah Warriner for three years. The last time they met, Milton's efforts to keep the boy safe didn't go exactly to plan. Now Elijah is a promising boxer, preparing for the bout that will take him to the big time. Milton decides that he will spend the week before Christmas in London so that he can watch the fight.

But Elijah's burgeoning fame has brought him to the attention of old acquaintances with long memories and grudges to bear. They have noticed Elijah, too, and decide that now is the time to settle old scores.

Can Milton keep the young man and his mother safe, or will Elijah's old running mates get to him first?

Coming full circle; I loved it!

Back where it all started, counting down the twelve days of Christmas, Milton calmly goes about setting wrongs to right. Rutherford's death in that first volume never did sit well with me, and now we find out that it disturbed Milton too. This was a very satisfying story with Thorpe's narration just adding a perfect depth.

Another John Milton Triumph - by Mark Dawson

Mark Dawson tells his stories brilliantly and David Thorpe interprets them perfectly.

The Cleaner, Dawson’s first story with Sharon Warriner and her son, Elijah, is a must read ahead of Twelve Days. You won’t be sorry reading all of Dawson’s books in their appropriate order. They do not disappoint.

Nonetheless, Twelve Days is a satisfying story, considering the backdrop of the days leading up to Christmas. No spoilers here, but more of John Milton’s character and heart emerge, in juxtaposition to the details of the tale.

AGAIN, do yourself the great favor of reading The Cleaner first.

Milder storyline than usual...

This was definitely a somewhat watered down version of the John Milton series. Mostly centered around boxing and some old relationships from Milton's past. Not my favorite, but still fairly good. I didn't like the funky accents of the bad guys. Narrator is usually spot on, but missed the mark this time around.

Good, but not really for me..

Another story about John Milton and his friends Hicks and Ziggy. This would never be one of my favorites because it was about boxing, and I'm not a fan. But it was still good. There was the gang FLB who were nothing more than kids trying to be dangerous grown-ups.

No romance and the F-bomb was used 37 times.

As to the narration: David Thorpe did a wonderful job on the "gangsta" accents

another good one

John revisits a part of his past and the story is not disappointing, plenty of action and interest, just such a great character, love Resnick almost as much as I love Reacher.
