Great book from a notable conservative

David Frum is a conservative with integrity. This book is a must read/listen. It exposes the grave danger this country is facing.

Liberal here,

I'll be up front and let you know that I am a liberal who watches Bill Maher and agrees with 90% of what Bill says. However, this book was written by a smart, intelligent, and thoughtful conservative author; one whom I can see having an actual discussion with, still disagree with, and leave the table still liking him – knowing that he respects and loves America just as much as I do. Even though I usually disagree with his politics, I agree with 95% of this book.

This book helps point out one thing - the issues liberals and conservatives have with Trump and his ilk are not of “Trump Derangement Syndrome” (my quote, and not a talking point at the time this book was written), but rather us noticing the systematic dismantling of everything we hold dear as Americans. Even though this was written in 2017, almost everything Frum says in the book is either true, or has come true since the publishing of this book.

I like that Frum sticks to his principles and does not cheer on his team no matter what. He sees the corruption and the long term effects that this presidency will have, and is not afraid to say them, GOP be damned. He is of a dying breed - honor above want, and country over Party. For that, I am grateful. It helps point out that his presidency is not normal, and that this is an urgent crisis for The United States of America.

Simply brilliant!

A beautifully written, informative and passionate book that explains the Trump presidency and also offers a view for the future.

Insightful and timely

I have great respect for David Frum for his integrity, commitment to principles of conservatism that transcend personalities and deep intellectual insights. He has a very clear sense of priorities and shows considerable courage in speaking out for what he believes in. I am a liberal progressive and coming from me, this is the highest compliment I can give a conservative.

Important

This book is a perfect conservative response to the problem that is Trump. This is the book for any conservative that still thinks Trump is “our man.”
