Narrator review

The narrator’s voice is SUPER annoying.....ESPECIALLY when he imitates a woman’s voice AND when he says “blow job” and other douchey phrases. If I were the author, I’d pay to have someone ANYONE do a remake. I’d much rather hear a woman speak and imitate a man when necessary. Gag🤢 Very hard to not get disgustingly distracted by the way the narrator speaks.

Captivating, Inventive

Although I was an English major who went on to study fiction writing, I’ve hated reading these last few years. This book was recommended by a friend—and I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s fresh and interesting and does a beautiful job of using inventive approaches with purpose. I loved it! First time in YEARS that I’ve been swept away by a book.

Not a thriller

Not impressed with this book. The audio version narrators do a good job but the story is blah. I was able to put it down. The only reason I listened to the entire book was I thought at some point it was going to get better. It was just a weird story. Mediocre at best.

exceptional and enthralling storytelling

From the knot-in-the-stomach recognition of familiar high school social insecurity and fitting in pressures, to long-felt repercussions and consequences of rumors and stories carried far into adulthood, this novel took me on a trip that could have been biographical. I can't say anything more except read this book.

male characters were too stupid...
women didn't have much depth.
I felt overall this book should be in young adults
