Misha doesn't remember what it's like to have a home.

He left Russia in search of a better life, but when he didn't find it, he left the human world behind. Now he lives in the woods and eats garbage out of trash cans. At least he's safe here as long as he stays a bear.

But he keeps going back to one particular house, to one particular guy. He can't seem to stay away. JT feeds him breakfast and says he wants to help, and Misha slowly, begrudgingly begins to trust him. Before long, Misha's living in his spare room and learning how to be human again . . . and lusting over his new roommate.

JT is everything Misha's always told himself he can't have. He plays hockey, he's rich, he looks amazing in a swimsuit, and he turns out to be much less straight than Misha assumed. As their summer idyll takes a thrilling, steamy turn, Misha begins to tentatively put down roots in JT's hometown of Sault Ste. Marie, and think about what might happen when the summer ends.

But Misha's past hasn't left him behind, and when his secrets abruptly come to light, he risks losing everything about his new life that he's come to cherish . . . especially JT.

Decent story, with realistic problems and inner growth.

The story and unfolding mysteries/secrets and past were interesting. The sense that there was one main problem for each character that was illuminated for each other after one deep conversation felt a little pat.

The narrator has a great voice, and the characterization of the shifter was fun and charming. Sadly , itfelt like he was reading the words, rather than telling a story.

Cute

I got this book because of the narrator Curtis Michael Holland. Misha was adorable in this book. There were some laughs. This was my first time reading/listening to anything by Corey Kerr. I will check out more that they have.

Enjoyable story, the narrator was awesome.

I will look forward to other books by this author, and especially by this narrator Curtis Michael Holland.

Sweet story

If you like sweet romance stories then you will enjoy this one. It's spicy at times but not too much and I really like the characters.

Surprisingly cute

I enjoyed this more than I thought it would. I really appreciated that when the characters were having struggles they didn’t just magically get better overnight. They did their work but not in a hand ringing and overly angsty way. I get so tired of books where people with really significant prior trauma (the major trauma here was in the past and mostly off page) are suddenly and magically cured when they fall in love. Trauma doesn’t work that way, and neither does love. Although I do like a good HEA, and this book supplied that. I’m only disappointed that there’s not more books by her for me to listen to. Narration was fine, it was a real person and NOT that vile computer generated virtual voice garbage.

Beautiful love story

I could listen to this story forever. Great pacing, great world building, and rich characters. Easy to connect with the characters and the love story unfolds beautifully. I highly recommend this audiobook!!!

Heartwarming and real

I particularly loved the idea expressed at the end, that made the story that much more real - we canove someone and still need time apart to build ourselves and it doesn't mean a rejection. So good.

Nice surprise

I ran across this book which was included in my subscription. It was so sweet and innocent. I think I liked it so much because it would be great if people did help others just because it was a nice thing to do.
