The narrator made this enjoyable for me, yet I was so hoping for a ending that was more happier. Very happy that he was able to accept himself for who he was.

worth it

Ypu don't need to read first book to enjoy this one. The raw emotionality is incredible.

Couldn’t stop listening!

This is one of the few audiobooks that I found myself finishing within 2-3 days because I simply couldn’t stop myself from listening! The story is crazy! I can see what opinions about who’s “right or wrong” are all super divided. I cannot imagine go through any of the events. I didn’t read the first and didn’t even know it existed until I listened to this one and don’t know if it’d be pointless now but I hope there’s a 3rd book coming soon.

Better narrator than the first

Interesting story. If you read the first book, The Foundling, he covers all of that in the first nine chapters of this book.

Recap of The Foundling

I am really interested in Paul’s story but was disappointed that the first 10 chapters were recaps of the previous book. I listened to several of the chapters with hope for different information but after I didn’t get that, I skipped ahead to the first new chapter. Still a great read or listen, depending on your version. We actually had it playing in our car on a driving trip back from Texas to Wisconsin. My husband found it interesting as well after I had kept him up-to-date on the foundling story.

Exciting story.

Really enjoyed listening to this book. Good reader. I hope the author finds his twin.

Only critique: use of “and I” instead of “and me” in correct grammatical context drove me insane!

Captivating and compelling story

True Identity was excellent! The story was detailed and fascinating, full of unexpected twists and turns. My hope for the author is that one day the full truth will be revealed. Perhaps this book will help unlock one more door in the mystery.

Amazing Story

I couldn’t get enough! Such an interesting story so well told by the author including the emotional roller coaster that is his and his family’s life. Truth can be so much stranger than fiction. I was fascinated to learn about genealogy too, it is so complex in what is involved and what it can reveal. This was a great read and I find myself continuing to think about Paul and his entire family. His mother is a beautiful woman who has endured so much, yet is so strong and unfaltering in her own truth and her faith. A very wise woman.
