A wonderful read/listen

Trifecta (Tin Star K9 Series Book 6), my eleventh read from author Jodi Burnett, who has rapidly become one of my favorite authors. This book continues the trend of well-written, enjoyable books, it caught my attention in the opening pages & I never put it down until completed. So when the opportunity to read the audiobook arose I jumped at it. Burnett has created a complete world in which her primary characters interact with an ever-expanding world of repeat characters, some very familiar from her other series. "I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. Narrator Joyce Oben's talented reading adds to a wonderful book's enjoyment. I look forward to reading more in this series & more from this author, and look forward to Extraction - US Marshal Dirk Sterling - Book 1. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

One of my favorites!

This book has if all!
Family issues, drugs, the chase, death, murder, rescue, strong female heroine, a canine easy to fall in love with, and a boy - caught in the middle.
And LOTS OF ACTION!
Love the narrator.

Plenty of action and personal dynamics.

When Trifecta came out in March, I borrowed a copy through Kindle Unlimited and provided the following review, I was offered a review copy of the audiobook from the author and immediately took her up on the offer.

When I listened to Renegade, the first book in the Tin Star series, I focused much more on Renegade than Caitlyn, Cole, Dylan, or any of the other human characters. As this series has progressed the human characters have become fully developed and more interesting. In Trifecta, Caitlyn and Cole are faced with not just the demands of their jobs, but pressures on their personal lives. I can honestly say Trifecta is my favorite of this series. Oh, before I forget, Renegade does an excellent job in this story.

Listening to Trifecta roughly a month after reading the book was not just a unique experience – normally the time between my listening and reading of book is at least 6 months- but showed me that an excellent narrator can bring the story to life, and in this case once again Joyce Oben brings Caitlyn and the while cast to life.

Great story and narration

I enjoy this author's books, and this one doesn't disappoint. The narrator brings it to life and keeps the listener's attention.

Harlequin meets the mob

At first I felt there was too much romance, however, there was enough action to keep me entertained. Then I realized Jodi wrote a series for a wide audience, men, women and dog lovers. So, Jodi, keep up the good work.

Keeps you on the seat of your pants!

My husband and son have begun to listen with me on long rides to appointments or events and let me say, We all loved this one! We are on pins and needles waiting for the next book! It keeps you going and we love how it’s not just about on character but extends into the full family, town and teams they work with. Love it!

Fabulous New Adventure

I enjoyed book 6 of the "Tin Star K9 Series" a lot. I liked that the author created characters that seemed real. Deputy Marshal Caitlyn Reed was tough, intelligent, and stubborn. After the travails of her kidnapping, Caitlyn was cleared by the doctor to return to work, but some of her actions and decisions seemed questionable, and her husband wasn't sure about Caitlyn's readiness. Sheriff Colt Branson was torn between the responsibilities of his job, his wife, his son, and having to deal with his child's mother's demands. Ren, Caitlyn's dog, was one of my favorite characters also. The story had several twists. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Joyce Oben's narration was engaging, and her performance aided in setting the tone of the story. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Keeps your head spinning!

An enjoyable read/listen about Caitlyn and Renegade going after the bad guys on a Tennessee race horse farm, and Colt investigating what seems to be a virus killing off cows... Don't worry, Renegade saves the day a number of times--my favorite scenes! And, of course, there's the 2 newlywed couples of Dylan and McKenzie and Caitlyn and Colt, and how their differing life circumstances lead them to deal with their relationships in different ways... As always, a fun story with a strong hook at the end!

I love Renegade all. The characters I hope her. Writes more K-9 mystery books. Finished all the k- 9 with Renegade and Katline and her hubby and the reed family

Disappointed

I have listened to the entire series thus far. I’m so disappointed. The stories concepts could have been excellent. I listened to the whole series because Dillion’s story was interesting and I wanted to know what happened with Colts son Jace. The actual main story was so filled with things that a US Marshall wouldn’t do. Kaitlyn continues to just stumble into these messes and arrests. She constantly disregards the safety of her K9. She didn’t even have a actual K9 vehicle until the last book and did not use it then. I’m going to give one more book a try since I really want to see what happens with Jace. If it’s as predictable as the others same story over and over I’m done.
