Love the story but too short

It’s a continuation of the previous story and it is good but too short. Need the books to come in 3s to save money.

Another great addition to an exciting series. Highly recommended! Can't wait for the next one to be released in audio book format. So in the meantime I will have to read it on my kindle.

Another great addition

Really like this series; storyline is similar to previous books but has enough differences to keep it moving. Lots of laughs, romance, and drama. Narrators did a great job! Looking forward to listening to the next book!

I liked the slow build-up of bonding and love between the two characters. I would recommend it.

Great add to the series , felt too short and ends on a cliffhanger. wondering why the main male lead didn't tell her about what was done to her by his father. felt a bit unfinished

Disappointed

Holly's character was very shallow and boring. Everything was predictable. Miscommunication was typical. The valley girl drawl got old fast.

THEY REMOVE HER BIRTH CONTROL. HE DOESN"T TELL HER

Okay, setting aside the fact that the FMC voice is obnoxious as hell, I have to say this author just lost me for life. Holly states repeatedly that she does not want to have babies. The guy she is forced to marry hears and understands this, and finds it baffling, since "all females wish to procreate." He then finds out that the people preparing her for their forced marriage took the liberty of removing her birth control device while she was under sedation and without her consent.

Cut to the wedding night. she figures she's stuck there until her friends bust her out, might as well have some fun. Her new husband tries to make excuses for not getting physical AND DOESN'T TELL HER WHY. He just reasons that he needs her to be clear headed for when they escape. (Like, WHAT? Because a woman can't think straight if she's also pissed?) I'm sorry, I didn't bother listening beyond this point. I don't know if anything happened between them after, but I imagine it did and it took him a good long while to tell her that her birth control has been tampered with, which is the textbook definition of sexual assault. I'm sure she eventually decides she loves him so much she doesn't mind having his child, even though he clearly doesn't respect her enough to give her important information about her own body.

Love - Hate

I enjoyed some parts of this story. I did not care much about Holly attitude about sex got on my nerves. The stories continue and leave me with the dilemma as to whether to buy the next
book or just stop. At this point I am continuing because I want to know what happened next

This one was not quite as great as the first three, partly because only the last third brings the characters from all the books together and mainly because I didn’t find our couple to be very likable,

Holly is all about no-strings get-togethers and feels quite shallow through most of this novella. She gets boozed up and throws herself at T’Kar without any thought to his culture or the bonding ceremony. I’m all for consensual friends with benefits, but juvenile tarts? No thanks.

T’Kar, for all his noble sentiments, nonetheless gets together with her knowing (a) she’s all for a hookup because she’s on birth control and (b) his people removed her birth control. His rationalizations for why he fails to set her straight before they do the deed (repeatedly) all fall flat.

For some reason, even though the duet narrators are the same, the voicing felt stilted. Holly’s voice was witchy and T’Kar sounded like a sweater wearing academic. Bought on sale, still worth it and events in this book set up for Caro’s story in the next one.

FMC SO ANNOYING!

I have enjoyed the books in this series and the narrators are decent however the way the narrator talked as "Holly" was like spoiled 90's Beverly hills brat, I could barely get through it. Thank GOD the make character was likeable. Definitely won't be repeating this listen!
