Resumen del Editor

On the heels of a painful and long overdue breakup, what Victor Nelson needs is time to lick his wounds. What he doesn’t need is everyone in his family trying to play matchmaker so he can find someone new. Which is exactly what they’ll do at the three stupid weddings he has to attend this summer.

Fortunately, it’s Dominic Lowe to the rescue. Dom is more than willing to come along to all the weddings as his best friend’s “boyfriend”, even if he’d much rather be there as Vic’s real boyfriend. Convincing people they’re a couple is easy. The charade is miserable for Dom, though, after years of being madly in love with Vic. But maybe those three weddings are a rehearsal for the relationship he knows they could have for real.

An out of this world quirky romance.

As always Michael Ferraiuolo, takes a great story, by the amazing Ann Gallagher and makes it that much better.

Sweet love story

Three weddings in one summer is a lot. Especially if you're single and still licking your wounds from your latest breakup and have a family bent on setting you up with any and all available men. Safe to say, Victor is not looking forward to it. Until his best friend Dom agrees to play his boyfriend for all three weddings.

Said and done. We follow this duo during wedding preparations, parties and the down times in-between. They fit seamlessly and effortlessly. Three Stupid Weddings is very low steam - how can it not be as both guys are ace - so no sexy times in sight. There are plenty of banter and sweet moments though. It's an uncomplicated and yes predictable story, in a good way. It was sweet as a wedding cake - well not the non-fat vegan kind they served at one of the weddings, but you know what I mean.

Michael Ferraiuolo (and nope, still can't spell his name) made this book with his wonderful narration. He captured Vic and Dom perfectly, the longing, quirks and the apprehension of food. While there's no sexual tension in this book there's plenty of longing, and that came through so clearly in Ferraiuolo's narration. You could feel the connection between Vic and Dom, the friendship and the wish for more from Dom's side and Vic's total obliviousness. It was cute.

All in all I enjoyed listening to this novella. It’s the perfect listen when you need some fluff and wonderful narration.

Why did I wait so long to listen to this?

I fell in love with Michael Ferraiuolo's audiobook performances just over a year ago and have loved everything of his that I've listened to. Of course, he has to have good material to work with, too, but I've heard him narrate a shopping list and it was funny and great to listen to.

This is a very sweet story with no sex, so if that's not your thing you might want to pass this one up. Just know that if you do pass it up you will be missing a fantastic performance and a great story. L.A. Witt has been a favorite author of mine for quite a while and Ann Gallagher is one of her alternate pen names. When she teamed up with Michael Ferraiuolo, her audiobooks became must buys for me.

The blurb is great so take a look at it. Dom is such a sweet man and a good friend to Victor. It's not difficult to know how the story ends but that doesn't matter; it's the journey to the end that is so good. The three weddings they attend are pretty much a hoot – until the last one. But even the last one has a great outcome with new and lasting friendships made.

Listening to this audiobook was pure joy. I can't really think of a better way to spend 4 hours than to listen to a good story made even better by all of the different voices that Michael Ferraiuolo performs.

Frustrated

If the MC’s are going to be asexual, they should put it in the blurb. I respect the fact there are people who are asexual, but it is not the book for me. I like some spice and chemistry and there was none of that. The narrator was great; that is why I bought the book, but the story was pretty bland.

If you have an eating disorder, and I do, you will be irritated about the mild preoccupation with food that is considered a eating disorder in this book.
