With three consecutive number one bestsellers, Bill O’Reilly has proved that he’s the king of the nonfiction list. With Those Who Trespass, he extends his bestselling domain to fiction, giving readers a novel that’s an exciting look into the no-holds-barred world of television news.
One by one, high-level executives and correspondents are being murdered. Soon it becomes clear that the killings are linked, the work of a bitter former newsman exacting revenge on those who derailed his career. Tommy O’Malley, a tough but warmhearted New York City detective, is assigned to crack the widening, high-profile murder cases, but encounters competition from a beautiful and tenacious tabloid reporter, Ashley Van Buren. As the story unfolds, Tommy and Ashley quickly discover they’ve got much more in common than a knack for solving crimes.
Those Who Trespass combines suspense, action, psychodrama, and romance with a fascinating glimpse into the harsh realities behind the delivery of our daily dose of television news--a picture only Bill O’Reilly could bring to life.Executive Producer: Sherry Huber
Producer: John Wager

Classic crime story

I believe the author was able to portray a finely woven plot using words that were fitting and very descriptive of the events unfolding. He did so in such a way that I was able to become a part the story as though I was standing nearby watching the events unfold.
Scary to think this book is insightful to what really happens in the world of Broadcast Media and Journalism.
I felt the descriptively sexy and exotic sections were poorly read. Perhaps the author could have read those sections with a bit more feeling so we could feel the mode instead of the Dragnet Narrative style he used throughout the book.
His narrative tone reminded me of the old Dragnet series and how the way they describe events as they were unfolding.
Overall I had an excellent listening experience on CD as well as on my IPAQ!
Recommended reading for the truth and ficton encompassed in this story.
Truth and Fiction at its best.

Every business has cutthroat people who do bad things. This is no secret, but it would have been nice to find out more details so you could actually care about the characters. Even the people who were murdered in the story didn?t make you walk away feeling like you knew if what they did was bad enough to fuel the rage of the murderer. You really didn?t even get a sense for what the person did that was so horrible. You read the book thinking that you should come into the story knowing about what ?those types? of people are like. It just seemed like the characters were cookie cutter out of the land of the cheesy old time mystery series. You almost want to label the people as ?The cheesy married anchorman who hits on women? or ?The cold hearted personnel manager who fires everyone? instead of the names of the characters. It just wasn?t enough length of the story to give any depth of the characters. You get a sense that all of the characters in the story (both bad and good) have very shallow development that leaves the reader wanting more detail.
Nothing amazing
