Loads of redundant material

I adore Carlo Rovelli and I’ve listened to most—if not all—of his books in English. This book seemed like it was 70% old material, much of it seemed word for word with Reality Is Not What It Seems, which I finished right before this book was released. For that reason, and that reason alone, I’m scoring this book lower than his others. Usually Carlo gets 5 stars from me.

physics made me spiritual. the awe and wonder of the universe are forever inspiring curiosity… a fabulous book on the development of different physical aspects and theories and their relationship to our world.

I like the way Carlo thinks!

I found this to be an enjoyable listen. It's true that this isn't a purely science audiobook, but there is a good amount of science in it. I liked Carlo's commentary on how philosophy and science need each other. I also enjoyed his musings on topics like hallucinogenic substances, politics, and his tribute to Steven Hawkings, among others.

I'd like to have a grappa with Rovelli

I wasn't sure that Carlo Rovelli would have much to say about philosophy, religion culture and kindness, but I appreciated the book's passion. His adoration of great scientists and thinkers is admirable and his pride in great Italians and their contributions is quaint. He is a terrific teacher and a wonderfully moral man.

I loved this book as it was how I imagine a conversation taking place with the author. jumping subject to subject with insights across his experiences and a snapshot of his mindset along the way might be.
