The Zombie

It had been one year since the Zombie Apocalypse began, Chris and his friends had built a life for themselves in what remained of an old farm that had been abandoned in the countryside outside of Irwin, Pennsylvania. The old farm had given them a chance to learn how to survive after their world had been turned upside down. They had learned how to protect themselves, to find food and avoid the horrible death that awaited anyone that let their guard down or became careless. They were proud of what they had accomplished and felt that they had learned just about everything they needed to know in order to survive in what their world had become. At least, that was what they thought.

One day everything changed when they were attacked by a group of zombies that didn’t act like Chris and his friends had expected. The zombies didn’t attack like zombies were supposed to, their actions appeared planned and organized. Chris and his friends quickly discovered that they were not prepared for this kind of attack and soon found themselves in trouble. They narrowed down the reason why everything was so different to one specific zombie. They called this zombie Blue Boy. But by the time they realized what they were facing, they were out of food, out of ammo and apparently out of time.
They desperately searched for the answers to their questions. Everything was being destroyed around them and all they could do was helplessly watch in disbelief. That, and hope for a miracle.

Who was Blue Boy? Where did he come from and why was he here?
But the answer they needed the most was, how would they be able to survive the impossible situation they were in.

Great story too short

Okay I have to admit. I'm really impressed with this story. I read quite a lot of zombie books. I love the mountain man series and this was a fantastic read. One of my biggest criticisms about this. Is that the whole plot with the evil doctor and the other zombies and all that other stuff was just way too quick you had so much potential to have more narrative with that and just spend it along with the idea of the prequel events. also, I hated Chris. He has to be the most stupidest protagonist in any horrible book I've ever seen. The guy is actually working on the disease itself, but doesn't know what's going on with the epidemic at any rate doesn't even believe the things in front of his eyes all the other ancillary characters are more proficient than him. It was really frustrating and hard for me to get behind it. But like I said, I just think it was too short. There's so much potential to do things with bob and Tom and Jon or Tom I mean. With all the nitpicking though fantastic book.

Nice Twist and Good Story

For a short story it was good. Good world building, interesting characters even though one main character and his wife were too stupid to survive. For virtual voice narration it was good.
