Being stuck in this house with the husband I’m separating from is unbearable.

Whatever he’s done, my Nan’s urging me to find out – and then to prove it. And if it’s as terrible as I suspect, I’ll do whatever it takes to get Etta away from him.

Well done

Amazing book, it's very well done and very well thought out. Definitely gets you thinking and it does have a bit of a mystery feeling. Overall 5 star

Addictive, Haunting, Mystery, Psychological Thriller!

I think by now I have the name of the narrator, Jenny Myers, memorized by heart, because she’s read so many of Maria Frankland’s books! Jenny Myers’ vocal acting performance is so intuitive to the characters which always enhances my reading experience as I get sucked right in to the story as soon as she begins speaking! From beginning to end she held my attention and didn’t let go!

Book Review:

The Wife I Was, by Maria Frankland marks her celebratory 25th novel! And she couldn’t have released a more perfect book for this incredible milestone!

Details can’t be broken down here without giving too much away, so what I will say is you will sympathize greatly with Georgia, the main character who struggles to remember what happened on a particular night. Her Nan might be the only person who can help her, but she has Alzheimer’s, so who would believe what she has to say? Their relationship has always been strong, and Georgia will have to rely on their bond to move forward.

What readers have come to expect when delving into Maria’s writing are some very detestable characters. She didn’t hold back here! It’s what makes you emotionally invested in her protagonist from start to finish.

This is a fast page-turner that had me alongside Georgia’s every movement at every moment. Feeling as if her muddled memories were my own. Heightened drama accelerates toward the end with a jaw-dropping conclusion!

This gripping novel left me emotionally raw. Seeking truth and finding justice for Georgia and her loved ones is a journey well worth taking. I highly recommend The Wife I Was, which I believe is Maria Frankland’s best work yet!

This is a Must listen!

This had my attention from start to finish!! I couldn’t wait to find out what would happen next and I didn’t guess who the bad guy was! I highly recommend all of Maria’s books. All of them I have read I have loved! So many twists and surprises

This is a very exciting psychological thriller story!! I was sucked in from the start and it held me until the last page!! It is extremely engaging and full of twists and surprises! There’s also a good amount of emotions involved within this storyline.

Georgia feels very unappreciated by her husband. She thinks he never really sees her and very quickly this becomes a reality. Georgia is on a mission to find answers that she is desperately seeking.

The character development is excellent, as each character plays a big role. I really enjoyed the roller coaster that this book took me on!

I listened to the audio version and Jenny Myers did an amazing job!! She brought each character to life!

*I definitely recommend listening to this one!!*

What a great read! Although I figured out the ending, it was a fun journey through out the story! Can’t wait to read/listen to more of Maria Franklands books.
