Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

The Bogleheads' Guide to Investing is a DIY handbook that espouses the sage investment wisdom of John C. Bogle. This witty and wonderful book offers contrarian advice that provides the first step on the road to investment success, illustrating how relying on typical "common sense" promoted by Wall Street is destined to leave you poorer. This updated edition includes new information on backdoor Roth IRAs and ETFs as mainstream buy-and-hold investments, estate taxes and gifting, plus changes to the laws regarding Traditional and Roth IRAs, and 401k and 403b retirement plans.

Resumen del Editor
Written by the best-selling author of The White Coat Investor: A Doctor's Guide to Personal Finance and Investing, Financial Boot Camp contains step by step instructions that will take you from zero to hero in twelve easy steps. Despite not receiving any business, financial, or investing education during the long years of school and residency, a minority of doctors become financially literate and convert their high income into real wealth. That wealth then allows them to practice medicine or dentistry free from the financial constraints of their peers. They can focus on their patients, their families, and their health. They can build lives of purpose, meaning, and happiness. This financial independence dramatically reduces the financial stress and burnout that plagues modern medicine and dentistry.
Financial Boot Camp will teach you what you need to know to joint the ranks of these financially secure doctors. It starts at the very beginning and is filled with straight talk and clear explanations. Although appropriate for the financial novice, it also contains advanced concepts unknown to many financial advisors. Besides giving you the information you need, the included anecdotes from real doctors will also inspire you to finally take action and get control of your financial life.
This book will show you how to:
- Protect your income from disability, premature death, and malpractice lawsuits
- Design and follow a budget that will allow you to build wealth while still living the good life
- Understand the intricacies of the federal income driven repayment and forgiveness programs
- Pay off your student loans within two to five years of residency graduation
- Increase your income from your practice and side gigs
- Buy and pay off the house of your dreams
- Understand the tax code and reduce your annual tax bill by thousands

Unaware, we proceed down the highway of life, pursuing financial security with one foot on the brake pedal and the other on the gas. We may eventually make it to our destination, but only after a pretty jerky ride. We wonder why a few others arrived at the station of financial independence sooner, achieving more, with a much smoother ride. This audiobook will teach concepts and give insights that are contrary to popular belief. Now is the time to discover the best way to safely accumulate more money.

A must for all high-income earners!
I'm very fortunate to have read (listened) to this book. I have read several other finance books and am near completing the Fire Your Financial Advisor CFE on the white coat investor website. I may still have fear or paranoia about my or my families future or their wealth, but not like I did before reading this book. I'm ready to take this task head-on. I have nearly completed my own financial planning because of this book and other White coat investor series. The most important thing one needs to remember ITS A PROCESS AND IT'S CONTINUOUS. The buck doesn't stop here, you have to do your due diligence and nurture your wealth, income and future. Many will say, "if I can do it so can you." I won't say that because we don't know one another or know our situations. But what I will say ... what will it take you to take hold of your wealth, income and future? THIS IS THE START.
