People are quick to agree with that statement. They might even have their own opinions on why it's true. Yet they keep feeding kids into that broken system hoping to get better results. Why is anyone surprised that broken systems create broken kids? We wring our hands, point fingers, and never get around to fixing the system. Angie Taylor has spent more than 30 years in education and knew firsthand what wasn't working. She watched as kids with potential were lost in the system. She realized it wasn't just about needing a few changes, but rebuilding the system from the ground up. Taylor could see that there was a better way to approach education, one that used technology for kids, not against them, one that could build a community that stretched across the globe, one that would create adults who were in a position to win because they had actual experience in changing the world for the better.
By using an educational approach based on the idea that each kid has unique potential, rooted in personal responsibility and a creator's mindset, Taylor rethought not only how we teach our kids, but what we expect of them.
