I need the ending!

BL Mute has me hooked! This is the first series I've read/listened to of hers. Honestly, in this book, I've gone back and forth and back again on liking these characters. I was close to shutting down the audio. It was heartbreaking. I don't like triangles either. I can't figure out if this is actually classified as one and I needed to know what would happen. These characters have a unique relationship with each other and it gripped me. We get another cliffhanger that has me ready for book three.

The narrators are excellent! I love their voices. They performed with emotion and had the audiobook rolling like a movie in my head. Ready for more from these two narrators.

Vengeful

This has a lot of twists and turns. You are always guessing what is going on. Teddy and Charlie seem like an unlikely pair and somehow it works. The side characters blend great and the mafia type vide made the story more thrilling. I really enjoyed this series. There are 3 books in this storyline. During this story, there is trigger warnings of rape of the MFC. Please be aware. It is part of the storyline going forward after it takes place. The narrators do a really good job.

The Vengeful Queen is the second book in The Hale Mafia series. This book started with a bang and ended with an explosion! I am in complete shock. Charlie is such a strong and powerful FMC. She pulls herself together after losing Teddy. I was not expecting that ending. I need the last book immediately.

Phillipa Miller and Alan Stone did a fantastic job narrating this book.

The Twists Keep Coming!

This is the second installment in The Hale Mafia romance series. Charlie and Teddy’s story picks up right where the first book left off. This part is packed with betrayal, secrets, mystery, and twists and turns. A lot happens in this second book, keeping things tense and exciting. Alan Stone and Phillipa Miller did an excellent job bringing the story to life. It ends on another cliffhanger, and I’m looking forward to listening to The Savage One, the next in the series. #PFPAudio

Good!

Holy moly! This one was wild! There were a lot of things going on that I had to wrap my head around! But overall this was a good one! Can’t wait to read the next book and I’d definitely recommend!

Mafia Romance

The Vengeful Queen by B.L. Mute is a mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Alan Stone and Phillipa Miller. This is the second book in The Hale Mafia series.

All I can say is Wow!!! B.L. had me on the edge of my seat during this book. The story took me on an emotional roller coaster. There was a point I wanted to throw my kindle I was so ANGRY! The story ends on another amazing cliffhanger that leaves me begging for more!

I originally read this book when it was first released and was so excited when it was announced it would be coming to audio. Alan and Phillipa did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

This is an absolute MUST READ for Mafia Romance or Romantic Suspense Readers!

Part 2

This is the continuation from the first one. This does end in a cliffhanger. I found this to be interesting and listened to it in one setting, can't wait for the third one to come out. In here there is revelations, betrayal, lies revealed, mistakes, Charlotte finds out what happened to her dad, certain characters feelings form, a takedown. The narrators did a good job.

Things Got Intense

Firstly, narration is an easy 5 stars. Alan Stone and Phillipa Miller are an audio power couple for me at this point. Gimme more, I will listen with rapt attention.

Secondly, the story. Ooof. Wow. Uhhhhh... how to review without major spoilers? So... major trauma. If you have triggers around SA, you need to tread carefully. Generally I kind of enjoy a love triangle, but this one gets twisted so negatively that it's hard to love it, probalby because it feels more **real**. Like if you had these two guys in real life, it would pretty much go this way I think. Teddy took a Tamlin turn, iykyk. I didn't love that. I feel like we had a major turn around on Teddy, and it bummed me out a bit. It felt really sudden, and I think this story is a little rushed. It's very fast paced, which is enjoyable, but I think it lacks full plot development, which is why I'm knocking off a star. I loved the story, it's a good story, but it needed just a little more meat in it to fill it out better, in my opinion.

Charlie stays strong through everything. She's very broken, but she picks herself up daily and runs the show. Charlie is a badass, full stop. I would not want to make her mad. She went from the good girl daughter of a police officer to mafia queen, and it suits her.

Cliffhanger ending, but I don't mind because the third book is already out and I'm going to run off and devour it immediately. Overall, recommend IF you can handle DARK romance and all that entails. This goes VERY dark. If you have triggers that are commonly found in dark romance, SKIP THIS. If you enjoy a raw emotional journey that feels very authentic, then pick this up right now!

The Vengeful Queen is the second book in The Hale Mafia series. This book is the continuation of Charlie, Teddy, and Lucas's story and is told from all of their points of view. This should be read after book one, as it starts off after book one ends.

Charlie is having a hard time after what happened to Teddy, and finds comfort in Lucas. When Teddy comes back she realizes she has feelings for both men. Teddy doesn't take the feelings for Lucas well, and does some questionable stuff to Charlie.

Charlie gets answers for her father, but there are still forces trying to take the mafia men down. Her bond between some of the characters grow! I'm glad the third book is out because after that cliffhanger I have to know what is going to happen next!

Not a standalone!

This book seemed to take a sharp turn in another direction. People are betrayed, feelings are hurt, trust is broken and relationships are ruined. It went from Teddy and Charlie being a happy couple in book one to a love triangle in book two. Teddy is all over the place. He was somewhat of a good guy before but then mistakes are made and everything changes. While secrets are revealed, this still ends in a huge cliffhanger. I actually liked this book better than book one as it was a darker storyline. Both Alan Stone and Phillipa Miller did a good job bringing this story to life.
