Savage

This has a lot of twists and turns. You are always guessing what is going on. Teddy and Charlie seem like an unlikely pair and somehow it works. The side characters blend great and the mafia type vide made the story more thrilling. I really enjoyed this series. There are 3 books in this storyline. During this story, there is trigger warnings of rape of the MFC. Please be aware. It is part of the storyline going forward after it takes place. The narrators do a really good job.

a good conclusion to series

This is the first book I've read/listened to written by BL Mute. It was a good listen with some steam, action and suspense. This was a triangle, sorta, and it continued to struggle with liking the characters. All of them. But it had *some* real-lifeness, emotionally, that had me appreciating the storyline. We get a HEA and a glance at what will be coming next

The narrators are excellent! Their voices are east to listen to and they give us an emotional performance. The audiobook was rolling like a movie in my head. Perfection.

Mafia Romance

The Savage One by B.L. Mute is a mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Alan Stone and Phillipa Miller. This is the third book in The Hale Mafia series.

All I can say is Wow!!! B.L. had me on the edge of my seat during this book. I binged the book in one sitting. I loved that we got Charlie, Lucas, Julius, and Sebastian's points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life. I loved the relationship between Charlie and Lucas.

I originally read this book when it was first released and was so excited when it was announced it would be coming to audio. Alan and Phillipa did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

This series is an absolute MUST READ for Mafia Romance or Romantic Suspense Readers!

Ooo! This series was good! The up and down, emotional road bump I was on was unreal. This series took me on a journey and I was here for it all! Would definitely recommend this series! Ps: this cannot be read as a standalone!

Charlie has grown stronger and independent throughout this series.
She had experienced love and heartbreak and love again.
A great ending to this mafia saga, Now impatiently for Jules story to continue .
Great mafia story.
Alan Stone and Phillpa Miller are wonderful storytellers that give the emotions and personalities to each character.

The Savage One

The Vengeful Queen is the third book in The Hale Mafia series. This book is the continuation of Charlie, Teddy and Lucas's story and is told from their points of view. These should be read in order, as this book starts off where book two ends.

Charlie is reeling after what happened at the end of book two. She's not sure how to survive and keep everyone around her safe. She starts to have feelings for Lucas, and Lucas has had feelings for Charlie for a while now.

Charlie is still seeking revenge on what happened to her father, and now Teddy. Can Charlie get her answers? Can Charlie and Lucas get a happy ending?

I enjoyed this series, and this was my first read by this author, and I plan to read more in the future.

Final book in the series...

The Savage One is the third and final book in The Hale Mafia Series. It is a dark mafia romance. You get a roller coaster ride of emotions in this whole series and especially this one. It has heartbreak, angst and all the feels. This one ends with a twist and makes you feel as if there will be more with other characters. It was an OK series for me.

Alan Stone and Phillipa Miller once again did a good job with this story.

The Savage One

The Savage One is the third book in The Hale Mafia series. This series is a roller coaster of emotions. Charlie was just getting over the idea of Teddy being gone to realize it is now a reality. This series kept me on my toes the entire time. I am hoping that Julius will eventually get his own story.

Phillipa Miller and Alan Stone did a fantastic job narrating this series.

Conclusion

The conclusion to the trilogy. I enjoyed listening to this. The narrators did a good job. There was a lot going on that ties everything to an end and maybe a glimpse into another character from in here and his story.

Rushed

Narration was excellent. Alan Stone has to go through a few accents, which he pulled off beautifully. He and Phillipa Miller together are amazing. I'm in love with them, they need a narrator couple name... Alippa? Phillan? We'll workshop it and get back with you.

I really like this series. It's raw, emotional and has a kind of authenticity which you don't usually get in this kind of romance. There's a lot of conflict in Charlie and Lucas both, and her grief feels so, so real.

Here's the thing, to me it felt like we got to this point and the author wasn't really sure how to pull it all together and tie up the loose ends, especially when Jules has found the person he wants and maybe that story got more interesting... so... slap it all together and HEA! Despite Charlie finally getting everything she wants (aside from raising people from the dead, of course, this isn't PNR), it still felt like there wasn't really a resolution to her story. It just kind of happened and that was it, moving on. And the start of Jules' story also feels super rushed... like... why? Why THIS girl? I know his book is coming next, which will probably shine a lot of light on that, but for the actions he takes... I'm with Charlie and Lucas on this one: what the hell was he thinking?

I've enjoyed this series a lot, and I definitely want the next book. However, overall it feels like the story was really rushed. It was plotted out, and barebones filled in, but remained kind of skeletal in the area of story/character/relationship development. I feel it needed more put into the transitions the characters went through, like they went through tough things that truly don't have easy resolutions, but this is romance so it has to come together... so duct tape it together and call it good. These three books had more potential than was explored. Buuuutttttt... it's not going to stop me reading (listening) to them. Do with that what you will. I loved the characters, and the story, I just wish it had MORE.
