Narrated by Genevieve Gaunt. A Londoner born and bred, she started her acting career playing Pansy Parkinson in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban before going on to read English at Cambridge where she graduated with a Double First. Recent work includes playing Marilyn Monroe in The Marilyn Conspiracy on stage and narrating The Spy Who Loved Me by Ian Fleming. Alongside acting on stage, screen, audiobooks and radio Genevieve writes for audiodrama (Thunderbirds), reviews books for The Spectator and interviews authors and creatives for literary festivals and in print for A Rabbit’s Foot magazine.

Directed by Tamsin Collison, an award-winning audio director with over 500 audiobooks and dramas to her credit, collaborating with artists from David Tennant to Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Recent highlights include a dramatisation of Jane Austen’s Mansfield Park, Thandiwe Newton's award-winning recording of Tolstoy’s War & Peace, and a new set of all-star readings of Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels. She also lectures at leading UK drama academies, including RADA and LAMDA. Delightful Story

I absolutely love Beth’s coruscating wit. Emma is a wonderfully full character with whom I feel I have a deep friendship. These books are among my favorites of all time.

My favorite book series, possibly ever!

I love this book series. I was so excited when Beth said they were coming out with an audiobook because, as a busy mom, I don’t really get a lot of opportunities to sit down and read. I wouldn’t say that the narrator has the voice I imagined, but by book two I was perfectly content with it. I did speed it up to 1.2x speed. One part I think played out even better in narration than the book was her rendition of the reprobates cheering and moaning along to Hawkes sermon. I laughed out loud. I absolutely love it!

I already loved this in print....

....and didn't think it could be improved upon. I was wrong. The narrator is pitch perfect. Any lovers of Jane Eyre will delight in this volume in particular; it's quite possibly my favorite of the series so far. Highly, highly recommended!
