A delightful and wonderful book - smart, funny, shrewd and sexy. The author remains true to the time period and writes with a keen understanding of the characters and story world of Pride and Prejudice. This should be a classic on your Austen bookshelf! Now, someone please hurry and adapt this to a movie.🍿

Easy read

Pretty good all the way around. Steamy tension and unique storyline, but the overall problem and resolution and ending seemed...tightly compact and rushed. Good overall. Easy non-triggering read.

enjoyed the build up and conclusion quite a lot! refreshing surprise for a nearly lifelong fan of Jane Auaten.

Heartwarming love story

This story is an unlikely love connection for two of P&P's overlooked characters. I will say that as a listener to MANY PP variations, the only way that this story fits into that is because it is set in that story framework, but it honestly didn't really evoke any of the PP feels through anything but the names of the characters. Aside from that, the story is well written, the characters show real depth, real growth and real struggles. I like that the story normalizes relationships that sadly, at the time, had to be hidden. Mary was strong and smart, Charlotte was vulnerable and experiences a huge amount of self discovery, the support characters are interesting and diverse.

I really enjoyed it.

Excellent addition to the original storyline!

This is a beautiful story, exploring one of the Bennett sisters, and her love of women! I am besotted! Lyrical and lovely, we need more 'after the story's stories!
