appreciate a realistic view

I am no Bible or religious scholar, yet went to Christian schools & churches growing up. in my 20 to 60s have opened my mind to many teachings yet learned to trust that whatever man touches over time will be flawed. with that my perspective is there is logic, wisdom and even probability to the words of this book. yet with anything, look at human nature when handed anything from 'God'. Use your own discernment and run it through your own means beyond intellect. you just may have answers.

Interesting Read

I thoroughly enjoyed hearing the translation of Issa's words to the people he taught in India and found it fascinating that the Brahman priests even plotted to have him killed since they relied on the caste system so much for power and Issa preached against it and against their idols. Much of the book is the author's travels, which I found interesting too. There is evidence that Issa lived in India following the crucifixion and eventually died in Kashmir. The author seems to believe that Issa's body was simply moved to another tomb instead of him being resurrected or somehow surviving the crucifixion in a state of samadhi or something. I'd like to learn more about Issa's life following crucifixion too. I'm grateful to the buddhists who preserved the text on Issa for centuries.

Great Book

This is a great book with a great look at the historical record of Jesus. If you are into looking at
the history of the Bible and how it was written and what was left out, and what the actual
historical record shows, you will love this book. And for me, Clay is my all time favorite
narrator. I have heard more books read by him then any other single narrator.

An absolute MUST read. The most likely origin of Christ I have ever read.

As a follower of Bart Ehrman I am very skeptical of the Bible. To learn that there were nearly contempary accounts who was likely Jesus written in the east is remarkable. It makes perfect sense. I only wish I could congratulate the author - who likely died a century ago.

Very thought provoking

If you've ever thought that a boy, man at the time, already knew he had come to do Gods work. Then he became a carpenter, this is for you. Much of this is the Authors travels, but does provide a very plausible idea of Jesus's missing years.
