Katie and a menagerie of misfit companions—a precocious witch, a half-blood elf, and a humanoid pup—work together to discover her fate. If proven true, a terrible burden will be placed upon her, one that will link her destiny with war: a war led by a 13-year-old girl.

The Djed Chronicles follows Katie over her teenage years as she confronts dark forces and discovers that the right choices are not always apparent, and wrong choices can have deadly consequences.

Great narration

This was different from what I’m used to reading but still enjoyed it! What I really loved was the narration of the story! All of the different voices and such really added to it all and made it all that much better! I will for sure listen to more audiobooks by this narrator. Well done!

Wonderful read

Loved the narrator, the story and all the characters can’t wait until the next one !

Unique story and great narration

This was a fun story and pretty unique. It took me a long while to get through on Audible due to limited time in the car, but it held my attention the whole way through.

Great Story

Even though you are experiencing the story through the eyes of a 13 y/o it still holds your interest and leaves you wanting more. Can’t wait to download the next book in the series.

good early book

I didn't have much hope for the book when the main character was a 13 year old girl. I was presently won over. A nice simple book to read to kids or when you want a noncomplicated listen to relax to.

The voice actor needs a little bit more coaching

It was a fun read, and a wild ride, but one thing I couldn't get over was that most of the tasks were non-repeatable. For example, one was finding an returning a harp. But that's the exact same task the previous Djed had to do. I did like her little "swear" monkey butt. When I was a kid, we would come up with some funny ones, we called them veggie-swears. All in all, I enjoyed it, and I will be reading the others.

Such a fun book

Great start to a series. Well paced and leaves you wanting the next as soon as you finish. Great characters and world building, Would recommend for certain
