Intriguing characters

narrator not the best but better than some other virtual voice books I have heard
good story and I have purchased the next two books in the series so that I can binge
them !

Interesting plot and subplots

I enjoyed the story and the well drawn characters. However, the AI narration was a distraction. Many mispronounced words ( some words in the English language are spelled the same but have different meanings in different usages) and no grasp of pronunciation of the French words and names. Additionally, in words with an apostrophe like won’t, the AI voice would say “won apostrophe t.” Very distracting!

Let's see, a free virtual voice title, yet one that sounds pretty good. Hmmm...ok take a chance. I was impressed and surprised at how good it was. I went right into the next title, a sequel and was equally impressed, if not more so. This may be an unknown to you but I think you'll like it. Excellent plot, not predictable, well written, interesting. No graphic sex scenes, in fact, very little sex at all, the strong love story was of feelings not body parts. I found the virtual voice to be soothing and not at all annoying. It had some depth to it with occasional losses but nothing that disturbed the story, at all. Encourage you to give this series a try.
