Preserving Tribal History
When attorney Vicky Holden is summons to a meeting with the tribal council, the last thing she expects is to meet the ancient Story Teller, Charlie Redman who tells her of a missing Arapaho ledger. Charlie Redman saw the ledger in 1920 in the Museum of the West on display, and it tells the story of the massacre of the Arapaho at Stone Creek. Now tasked with finding the historical ledger book, Vicky heads off to the museum, only to be told that the book never existed, and that the Arapaho were never in the Battle at Stone Creek. At the same time Father O’Malley is trying to convince the church leaders to allow him to open an Arapaho museum at the St. Francis mission and has a chance to meet with his old friend in Denver to discuss the matter. . . where he runs into Vicky Holden who is trying to track down the missing ledger book at the museum. This installment in the series is a great one, giving more history of the Arapaho and more details of the culture of people. I am amazed and awed at the way they honor their old people, calling them grandmother and grandfather. I love learning of their customs and ways. This mystery of the murdered Indian student and the greed and hatred behind it make it one of the very best in this series. Excellent tale and great resolution.

Maybe I should have started with book one.
