Ironically, the more I man up and take charge, the more Serena and I are starting to reminisce about the good old days, which is quickly adding up to some heated nights.

Come hell or high water, this Christmas, our kids are going to learn to appreciate the parents they've got because I'm getting my girl back... even if the two little hellions we created have to pay to bring her back to me—little f*ckers.

The Sleight Before Christmas is book two in the Holiday Hijinx series. While it can be listened to as a standalone, it is best enjoyed after listening to The Plight Before Christmas. Both books in Holiday Hijinx are packed with adult shenanigans, laugh-out-loud outrageous content, colorful language, adults behaving badly, and hefty doses of spice.

Not a typical holiday romance

This book is not your typical holiday romance, but if you’ve already enjoyed the first book in the series, then you know what to expect. When the family gathers for Christmas, shenanigans ensues. And with two spoiled children on the naughty list it will take all of Serena and Thatcher’s patience to keep Christmas merry and bright.

I loved this book. it had heart and soul and so many laughs. The narration was spot on and the story just...perfect.

Perfect

Kate can truly write a real life.. suck you into the world of the Collin’s family Christmas gatherings like no other. I have 3 kids ranging from 13 to 2 and have been married for 12 years so I really could relate to Serena and Tatch. I’m hoping for more books in this series.

duet narration, the funniest book

if you are a parent, you will appreciate this book. especially if you have preteens or teens and have been married for awhile. I laughed so hard at the clubhouse scene. omg. kate Stewart is my favorite author. no other author can make me sob for hours and also make me laugh so hard with such relatable situations. this book didnt make me cry, but it was funny and touching. these narrators were excellent as well. I really enjoyed JF Hardings delivery. his back and forth between the mmc and the son was my favorite. this book is a must.

Gravity

Loved this story! I couldn't stop listening to it. As a parent and someone that has been with the same guy for 24 years I related to this whole heartedly. So well done and beautiful!

the reality

as a mom I totally, emotionally and mentally understand Serena and her way of thinking. the fact that Thatch and Serena have never given up on each other hits home. Gravity is really more then just a source of staying on the planet.

Children that are entitles, parents that are understanding but stand their grounds. I love it all the growth that is relived and the beauty of a relationship that didnt start out to be long term but turns into A TRUE LIFE..

I love this book.

Kate doesn’t disappoint

I laughed and cried. Little Peyton stole my heart.
Excellent narration. Excellent story. I couldn’t stop listening and finished the same day I started.
I didn’t think book one could be topped, however, it was equally as good as book one if not better

This is a great mix of comedy and reality all blended in a light hearted book.
