a distortion of the philosophy of the tantraloka

This book relies on the lack of knowledge of the western listener of the actual philosophy of the tantraloca, erasing the kashmiri shiavite traditions uniqueness and trying to fold it into the dominant standard advaita vedanta tradition, I highly suggest, looking for a different commentary or not taking as seriously this commentary which attempts to fold the kashmirishiavite tradition i to adviata and pushes the non kashmiri shiavite idea the world is total illusion and not the expression of the body and consciousness of shiva and encourages one to ignore the world. "When one's own body is injured, there is great pain; the same should be felt when others are injured. This is because the whole universe is one's own body." Abhinavagupta i highly suggest looking into Jaideva Singh’s commentary which is is a direct vessel for the Tantraloka worldview, as he was a student of Swami Lakshmanjoo the last kashmiri shiavite master.
