Very Intriguing

WOW what a wild ride!!!

Great Story with incredible plot twists

Loved this story which could have been torn from current headlines! Descriptive text put the listener at the exact locations of this international intrigue.

Great Spy Thriller

The beginning and most of the book kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen. The ending was a little disappointing as it seemed as if the protagonist became passive and started allowing things to happen, rather than being proactive as he had been throughout most of the book. In spite of that, I enjoyed the book and I'm looking forward to the next one in the series. Theodore Copeland does a find job as the narrator. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

Outstanding Suspense and Espionage

This is my first book by this author. The intricate detailing of places of their past politics was educational and insightful. This book gripped me from page one til the end. The storyline was very interesting. If mystery, suspense and espionage is your thing than pick up this book. I will definitely listen/read other books by this author.

The narrator Theo Copeland did an outstanding job. It was easy to follow along with his narration. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Benjamin Sager fights to get home

The Shield of Darius Unit 1 is an exciting thriller. Allen Kent has written a fast paced story. The audio book is narrated by Theodore Copeland and he gives a wonderful performance. Benjamin Sager is kidnapped and his wife is desperate to find him and bring him home. The Shield of Darius has interesting characters and fast paced thriller that leaves you wanting to enjoy more of the book. If you enjoy listening to audio books, I highly recommend this book. I received an arc for my honest review.

Another well-written story from a very good author

The Shield of Darius (Unit 1, #1), my fourth outstanding read from author Allen Kent. Outstanding thriller with well-written characters & plot you can buy into with unexpected twists & turns. Theodore Copeland's narration adds to the pleasure of a well-written book. I look forward to reading more from this author and since I own a total of 19 books by him I eagerly look forward to reading more! “I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." Very scary in light of today’s political climate

I could certainly imagine that this type of scenario could happen with the “right/wrong “ people in power

I really enjoyed this tale of adventure and danger and the struggle for escape. It held me captivated and in suspense. I’m super excited for more of this series. The audio was very engaging and well done.
