Sequel better than first book

Great characters and story, really connect. It is magical realism in present day. Looking forward to the next one.

One of the best books I’ve ever read

Character development was so strong. Feeling both anger and pity for the villains and good guys. Performance was amazing. The variance in accents blew me away. 10/10 across the board.

Just buy it. It’s a fantastic read. Yes, it’s political — what literature isn’t? Psyched for the next book.

Great mid book

I really think this was a great mid book for the HMRC series. I especially love the story of Ciara. The story drew me in, and I was so excited to learn more about the characters we didn’t read as much about last time. The ending has really set it up for the next book.

Loved every second of it. The performance is spot on, and the story is unpredictable, well paced, and captivating.

Page Turner

I really enjoyed listening to this and found it challenging to step away. I kept wanting to find out what would happen next. I loved the character development and hope we get to spend more time with Chinara in the next book!
