Zornaa's Backstory is Awesome!

I loved hearing Zornaa's backstory. It really helps me understand so much about Zornaa. I kind of wish the book had continued because I have so many more questions! I feel like Zornaa needs her own spinoff series. She has a lot of secrets to spill... This particular story is one I've been curious about ever since she mentioned it in one of the previous books in the Crimson Deathbringer Series. We get to hear the story of the first time machine. I loved it! Have I said that enough yet? It was action-packed, weird, funny, sad, and every other emotion and feeling you could ask for. It's a side story in the series that I definitely didn't mind taking a detour for. If you haven't read the Crimson Deathbringer series yet, start with book 1. You won't want to miss a thing!

good if you like time travel

I love space and science fiction. Time travel not so much. Good story good writing. The voice actor made it hard to get thru. Personally I didn't like it. But if you like time travel stories then I would recommend it.

Great addition to the series

I’m not sure if this is a “Prequel” per se but definitely an enjoyable spin off. After having gotten to know this character throughout the first 4 books, it was fun to hear a stand alone story involving her. The narration is great as always.

The Scarlet Queen

Good prequel to the Crimson Deathbringer series. It gives good insight to characters, storyline etc. I did enjoy this audiobook from beginning to end. I received this audiobook for free in the authors promotion. Again C.J. Grey does an awesome job of narrating. I would recommend this series to anyone interested in this genre.

I enjoyed the Scarlet Queen very much. Interesting back story of "Xornaa" a tough as nails secret agent spy seen in Sean's other books. A well done story that left me wanting more!

Amazing

Very good book, alot of action and amazing storyline. Very enjoyable and easy to understand and into. overall excellent book to listen to.

When you think it can't get better

All I can say is Sean Robins went above and beyond with this prequel. Hopefully this doesn't come off as anything other than respect, it seems this prequel really showed is writing maturity and brought back to light his ability to develop characters quickly without it feeling rushed.

Being able to see how the previous books were brought together and made to look even more tied together was amazing. Also, i think this showed an ability that not a lot of writers have and that is mixing genres in the same book without it becoming a jumbled mess. Loved the time travel paradox with multiple versions of the same character being created, but with personalities of their own.

I'm on board for this series more than ever and I would advise any sci-fi fans to invest in this series for the freshness we have all been looking for.

Origins Story!

This prequel to the Crimson Deathbringer series reveals additional background that was implied earlier in previous books. It also further fleshed out some of the characters and expounded on their relationships. I especially enjoyed the backstory of Xornna and her journey. This action-packed story was filled with space battles, intrigue, suspense, humor and sorrow. I look forward to the rest of the story. The narrator's performance was seamless. I was provided a free review copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this review.

What a back story

Who would have known this back story adds so much depth to a character? This book knocks it out of the park, it made me fall more in love with this lead character and has me wanting to have more of them in future books. Keep up the great work, I am a fan for life.

excellent once again

a bit different from the previous, since it doesn't focus on Jim, but filling in back story of Zorna, as well as some foreshadowing as to what is going on behind the curtain. having said that, it has everything you could want. space battles! time travel! I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes.
