Resumen del Editor

The series that began with the book Danielle Paige, author of Dorothy Must Die, called "inventive, gorgeous, and epic", comes to its thrilling conclusion.

The sides have been chosen and the battle lines drawn.

Echo awakened the Firebird. Now she is the only one with the power to face the darkness she unwittingly unleashed...right into the waiting hands of Tanith, the new Dragon Prince. Tanith has one goal in mind: destroy her enemies, raze their lands, and reign supreme in a new era where the Drakharin are almighty and the Avicen are nothing but a memory.

The war that has been brewing for centuries is finally imminent. But the scales are tipped. Echo might hold the power to face the darkness within the Dragon Prince, but she has far to go to master its overwhelming force. And now she's plagued by uncertainty. With Caius no longer by her side, she doesn't know if she can do it alone. Is she strong enough to save her home and the people she loves?

Whether Echo is ready to face this evil is not the question. The war has begun, and there is no looking back. There are only two outcomes possible: triumph or death.

Great Narration and concept. But fell short.

Ok so I for some crazy reason listened to the whole series of this trilogy. The storyline and concept was completely exciting and up my alley. I did enjoy the first book more, but thought that this edition would develop the characters and depth more but did not.
I found parts of the book great, but just not enough. I listen in the evening and kept falling asleep. I felt like the story might have moved slow and if I kept listening it would all come together, but it did not. I felt like the characters developed slowly with so much potential but then left you lacking. So much potential but not enough. In a story like this there is this build of excitement like “oh here its coming, a major event” and then I would say “ That was it?”. So Pros: Great concept and impeccable narration. Julia is one of my favorites. The supporting characters were my favorite. Cons: Main characters never really fully developed. Fell short and lulled in areas. It let me down because the storyline would build slowly and you could see potential but just didn’t get there in the end.
