Colbert bump, Listen with open heart and mind

I'm not a Christian but I saw the author on Stephen Colbert and thought I would give this book a chance. I'm so glad I did. The narration is relaxed and calming The text is thought provoking. I feel wiser for the listening.

Francis Collins has really helped bolster my faith during tumultuous times in which it felt like my nursing mind and Christian mind couldn’t coexist. I always appreciate his tone of humility and am extremely grateful for the advancements he had made in the medical community.

Collins is working to heal our discord

Conversationally read by Collins, this is a superb book about the intersection of truth, science, faith and trust, not typically aligned with each other, yet in Collins' hands they're like intertwining vines of separate plants on one pergola. This book should interest all the arguing sides of politics , vaccinations, and climate change who yearn for a peace --which as Collins advises is best reached through a better understanding of our differences.

Science affords us the opportunity to use the miracles God created in us to use for the common good of all living .

The experience, sincerity and courage of the author is inspiring. I learned a lot I didn’t know about the process of science used to help others. It affirmed most of what I have believed about the miracle science affords us and how it does not conflict with my faith in a higher, power.

Courage and a path to Wisdom

A thoughtful and hopeful message for troubled times. Dr Collins not only presents hope, but a pathway out of our malaise. Faith is not the prescription but a pathway upward and outward.

Please Read This Book!

In a world where divisive & polarizing voices often carry the day, Collins’ heartfelt work is a beacon of light. Reading this, I can tell this was a labor of love from a brilliant scientist wanting to do his part to once again (as he did in his previous book) build bridges and help move us into a brighter future. In short, read the book. Read it as many times as it takes.
