Nightlords being evil, chaos space marine duplicity.

An excellent tale of the Eighth Legion. Not quite on the level of ADB's Nightlord trilogy, but enjoyable from start to finish.

the aspirations, relationships, and terrifyingly clear process of emotions and manipulation of the MC, was brilliant....the entire Claw actually.

Great Chaos-sided read

Special shout out to every moment of battle versus the imperial forces. I loved that the author stuck to the point of view of the Night Lords in all major moments. Sisters of battle are depicted accurately and are shown to be badass here. As a non-sororitas fan, i really liked them here.

Regarding plot of the main character, if you read the recent alpha legion book “Sons of the Hydra”, you see a lot of parallels. I gave that story a 5/5 and this is no different.

Voice acting… thank god its not ai yet. We pay too much per book to be handed terrible slop. 5/5.

Great NL Novel

Definitely a fun listen! great characters. What stood out the most to me was the quality of voice acting and effects. Story was a strong 7/light 8 for me. Typical chaos shenanigans BUT some truly awesome scenes once you get mid-end of the book.

Phenomenal Novel and Voice Acting!!

Seriously fantastic novel and voice acting! Very interesting and well written plot and characters, and the voice acting was top notch and brought the characters to life! Would recommend to any Night Lords or Chaos fans! Navigates the realties of being a chaos marine and the constant deception and struggles, and this novel has some fun twists and turns!

Well read. Not to be missed by ANY 40K fan!

Features a nice mix of Chaos Space Marines and Loyalist units but the Tech Priest kinda steals the show for me for about half the book. Great action and depiction of battle stress / decision making. As for the Nightlords, I enjoyed and was surprised by their actual groundedness. "The loyalists are insane! Not us!" Very refreshing compared to the basic, saber rattling, "For the Emperor nonsense." These guys are on their own in this universe and they get it. Nor do they have any illusions about it. Yes they are skilled in, and gleefully partake in, terrorism, psyops and slaughter, but they are also matter-of-fact and realistic.
A few left of a terrible breed. Their commander genuinely cares for his Murderkin's legacy and his Tech Priest. Funny to be rooting for their like the whole way. Well Done Mike!

An excellent book! If you enjoy chaos space marine stories then you are in for a treat with this one!
