Second time listening to this book. Left w golden nuggets after each time. Adam is a wealth of knowledge.

An excellent playbook for understanding PE firms

Excellent content... Well laid out with the structure that works well. Practical and readable.. Spoke to me like someone knowing my journey into my second half. Liked the Josh and Rose characters.. Made it more relevant.

Great PE strategy inside this book!

Adam offers principle information about private equity and strategic insight on how to thrive in the industry. His info on selling a company multiple times for 7-8 figures was probably the most brilliant strategy I’d heard to date. Great book! I highly recommend.

Good overview of partnering with PE

I had a decent knowledge of PE from a fund point of view. This book added the perspective of the entrepreneur that sells to PE or the corporate execute that moves to work in a PE owned company.

I’ve learned a lot about private equity backed companies, why to sale them, why to be apart of upper management, and also, what mindset to have when as apart of the upper management team! Everything! Very informative. Covered all the bases. I highly recommend it. If you’re if you’re considering selling your business you need to read this. As well as the private equity playbook. I would read the private equity playbook first and then this. You can never be too prepared to sell your business.

Great for learning the basics - nice primer.

Very succinct primer for private equity; a good place to start for beginners and I appreciated the two different perspectives provided (selling a company; being recruited in to lead a company).

Very basic intro to PE. Very helpful in a lot of areas.

It is pretty cursory so you’ll definitely need to read some more in depth books after this but it’s a great place to start so you can understand more difficult books subsequently.
