Strangely Interesting

I have no idea why I chose this book, it's different than my normal read. That being said, I enjoyed it more than I expected. It's very informative with information I found oddly interesting. The comedy made learning gross stuff fun.

Good read.

I enjoyed the plot line. the narrator was quite good at managing the different voices.

Nice criminal law book.

Easy to listen to. Very educational about the injustice of our criminal system. Good story to tie into the fight for justice. Really made me think about things in a different way.

Great listen

I loved this book. Didn't want it to end. I like audio books that hook you from the beginning and this one definitely does!

Twists and turns

I am so glad I "read" this book. It was well written, captivating, and had twists and turns that kept me guessing until the very end. Recommended.

EASY LISTEN

An easy listen, but rather predictable. Some have been critical of the lack of character development. This is the case however it doesn't destroy the novel.

Good but predictable

A young man is sent to jail for a crime he says he did not commit. His family is wealthy and have many politicians, judges etc.., in their back pocket, however, not the right people at the time of his conviction. When an attorney who represents people on death row receives a confession from another inmate for the young mans crime, she reopens the case. The writing and story were good but a bit predictable. This is a middle of the road crime thriller, not too heavy but not a cozy either.

Taking the law in their own hands

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Probably not. I have a problem in people who take the law into their own hands. I enjoyed the premise and the role of Innocence Project but having investigators breaking into homes, searching for evidence, deciding who is guilty or innocent basically says there is no justice. Certainly our justice system makes errors. Wealthy people seem to be able to buy their way out of situations. I want to believe in the good of people and not be so jaded.

excellent story

I love every book in this series so far. this series has so many twists and turns that you never see coming it grabs my attention and keeps it until the end.
