Enjoyable read

The story is capturing right until the end. The narration is done very well and captures all the different characters.

Good not great

Interesting but a little far fetched, plus not super "end of your seat." Narration is excellent though. This would be on my maybe list.

Loved the story except for the word JERKILY!!

I loved the characters. The narrator did a great job . But the word JERKILY was used to express how the characters said something n every time I heard the narrator say," he said jerkily." or "she said jerkily." I cringed. it was awful n said to many times. How do u say something jerkily??

Not my genre.

I have issues with audio performance of characters by many narrators of the opposite gender.

Great book!

Great listen and very entertaining! Perfect narrator and characters introduced in this book! It was exciting to listen to until the very end and hard to stop in between.

Enjoyed it

I almost did not get this book because of a few reviews. I am glad I did! While it was not a sit at the edge of my seat type of book it was still an enjoyable story line. The narrator did a decent job and I was glad I did not listen to the few. When I looked at the total ratings I saw it had good review numbers just not a lot of comments.

Just what I was looking for

This book was intense, interesting and irresistible! The story line was great. The connection between Mandoc and Alli was incredible!

Unusual outcome for me

Generally I am very driven by character development, particularly when the plot line is rather ho-hum. Unfortunately, in this instance, I wasn't captivated by either of the main characters or their story lines. So, in a very unusual outcome for me, I stopped listening about two thirds of the way thru the book. Just didn't care to finish.
The narration was fine.

I love this stand alone novel. I usually just read her Eve Duncan series so I was truly surprised.
