Solid parenting strategies!
I enjoyed the in depth looks at each topic from parenting practices 400 years ago to present day approaches, the science behind why each suggestion is beneficial, and the practical\lived experience stories shared to illustrate how these approaches have helped Dr Coulson and others. Need Supportive parenting is exactly how I want to parent.

Worth Reading
Such a well done explanation of how to parent well. Includes research explaining why this is the best way, lots and lots of examples of how to actually live it, and encouragement because it is hard work. I like that he acknowledges the challenges many people face but doesn't shy away from sharing best practices. I'll relisten to this many times over the next few years to remind myself of the details, but I really love that the key takeaway is just to meet your kids' three basic psychological needs; as a busy and stressed parent, I can remember that!
Definitely recommend!
