Rader-Day Does it Again!
I read a LOT of mystery books and watch more than my fair share of murder cases on TV. This means I can usually guess who did it. I have yet to correctly guess who the murderer was in a Lori Rader-Day novel.
The characters in a Lori Rader-Day book are all well developed. It’s easy to live in the world of her books because she does does such a smooth, easy job of crafting the characters and the setting the scene.
You get to know the characters so well that they live on in your head. Any of her books could become a series or at least have a sequel because I don’t want the character’s stories to end. I want to learn more about them in subsequent books.
The Death of Us is well-crafted and flows easily. It would make a good movie.

Rader-Day does it again
I’m a big Lori Rader-Day fan. She’s one of the best in the mystery genre. All her books are layered, exciting, and surprising. All her characters are authentic and multifaceted. This book was no exception. Everything about it feels real. I was quickly drawn in and could not put this fabulous book down. I highly recommend this book and any book by this author.

It’s A No For Me!
I started this book twice-listening up to chapter 8 both times. I just couldn’t get into it. I had no empathy for the characters.

Couldn’t finish
So boring. Nothing really all that significant happened and all of the characters are freaking out, for seemingly no reason. I couldn’t find myself to care about what was going on. The inner dialogue of the main character was awful and the excessive use of “said” was over the top.
