I haven’t had the pleasure of reading the ebook yet—but fear not, I’ve already purchased it and plan to dive in momentarily.😉 The audiobook, however, was outstanding. Narrators Jason Clarke and Ava Erickson did a fantastic job of bringing Emmett and Briar to life. Their vivid portrayals captured the emotional depth and witty banter between the characters beautifully. Jason and Ava are among my favorite audiobook narrators, so my anticipation for their performance was sky-high. (I might have a bit of a Jason Clarke addiction, but that’s neither here nor there. His voice perfectly complements one of Piper Rayne’s heroes!) With the help of their engaging storytelling and dynamic performances, Piper Rayne delivers another delightful and poignant addition to the series. I’m eagerly anticipating the next book. Don’t miss out on this feel-good gem that’s sure to leave you smiling!

This is my second book by Piper Rayne and the third in her Plain Daisy Ranch Series. I absolutely loved this story. I loved the characters and how they overcome feeling like the disappointments and standing up to those they love. The story of will they or won’t they. They’ve been told to not go there, they know they shouldn’t but when everyone is set on keeping them apart they end up coming together in the most beautiful way.

Emmett is the youngest of the Noughton brothers, and he feels like no one takes him seriously. But how can they when growing up he was the one to always crack a joke when things got too serious or to hide his pain. He was a hotshot with the girls, but now that his brother’s have found their happily ever after he can’t help but feel like he’s missing something.

Briar is returning to her hometown, to the Ranch where her high school crush lives. She has nowhere to go and is carrying a secret she wants to keep a little while longer from her older sister. But when she needs a place to stay and her high school crush is her only comfortable option, and the only one who knows her secret. She’s forced to face some tough decisions and fight the charm / soft side the former playboy only has for her.

Together they work to help overcome the feeling of not being good enough and letting everyone down. Together they build each other up and make each other stronger. They start out as enemies, become friends and eventually lovers.

I had the privilege of reading the ARC by @authorpiperrayne and listening to the ALC narrated by @jasonclarkereads & @avaundercover.

The Narration and production of the audiobook was fantastic. @jasonclarkereads & @avaundercover do an amazing job of expressing the angst, the love, the lust, the spice and everything nice that is this small town romance. They are exactly what I pictured the characters to sound like when reading the book!

I cannot express enough how much I enjoyed this book and highly recommend you download it for reading or listening TODAY. Available on Kindle and Audible.

This was cute

This was cute. Minimal conflict. Great communication. I enjoyed. Can’t say that I’ll continue the series though.
