This marathon of a book examines each book of the old testament in a wonderful bible study audio course taught by the brilliant and kind Fr. Clifford. An all around excellent listen!

Great Audio Companion to the Old Testament

The Old Testament is so dense and filled with symbolism and historical references that it's hard to follow without a guide. That's why I got this audio series. Fr. Clifford does a great job of explaining the meaning of key passages. The study guide PDF that's included is also very helpful.

Exceptionally well-taught audio course

Fr. Clifford provides a fairly comprehensive overview of the Hebrew Scriptures while discussing several major themes in depth. I found his talks well grounded in scholarship and his presentations engaging.

Comprehensive and clear overview

Fr. Clifford's 101 course on the Old Testament was perfect for someone like me who was not raised in a faith but is interested in understanding biblical history and the accounts that have shaped so much of our culture. I had a basic, but fractured understanding of the Old Testament, and this course helped me understand it as a whole. I also appreciated the comparison of the Old Testament in Jewish and Christian accounts.
